Industrial vintage lighting at 188 Hammersmith
Our vintage lights have started a new chapter at 188 Hammersmith! A historic building with its own stories to tell now houses the Beata Heuman showroom, complete with offices, studios, and impressive interiors designed to spark inspiration in all who step foot in the Victorian townhouse.
Starting life in the 1820s as a “country” escape, it quickly became home to several clubs and societies. Purchased in 1904 by the Constitutional Club, 188 welcomed high-profile visitors such as Winston Churchill and the like, steeping the building in rich history before being bought by Beata Heuman decades later. Intended to show off Beata Heuman’s catalogue of homewares, the showroom at 188 is an impressive feat of interior design, with each room feeling like an entirely new project without losing the continuity of the interiors. Our reclaimed Eastern Bloc oxidised bulkheads are right at home in the basement room. The industrial style complements the room’s original use, whilst the oxidised galleries tie together the orange and blue checkered floor that can be seen throughout the project. In a building with such a rich heritage, our vintage lights are the perfect addition to the impressive showroom.
