Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in Poland. As with the majority of lights designed and manufactured under Communist rule - during the period from the end of the Second World War to the fall of the Berlin wall - they are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic, with the same design often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.
As depicted within the associated images these lights were installed within the Konstal 13N tram produced in the years 1959-1969 by production plant Konstal in Chorzow. The 13N was a Polish copy of the Czechoslovakian Tatra T1 produced by CKD which supplied most of the trams in the Eastern Bloc. Can be used in either a vertical or horizontal orientation making them suitable for both wall and ceiling applications.
An aperture within either wall or ceiling of 205mm and recessing depth of 40mm is required for installation.

"Genius Full Circle initative"
Love the lights, love your ethos. Absolutely what more companies need to be doing. I have my Retro Czech Ceiling Lights (V2) in my dining room and the spray of light they give off is gorgeous and unusual.
