These sizeable industrial pendants started life in Poland in the 1960s, illuminating factory floors. Salvaged from the Eastern Bloc, original components remain preserved, including large enamelled shades and a polished aluminium upper gallery, inclusive of manufacturer's markings. Designed to illuminate large spaces and ready for their next chapter in kitchens, shops, restaurants and bars.

Origin: Poland

Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in Poland. As with the majority of lights designed and manufactured under Communist rule - during the period from the end of the Second World War to the fall of the Berlin wall - they are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic, with the same design often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.

Restoration

Before a light can be restored, any damaged outdated components will require repair or replacing. As part of this work we replace original imperial screws with their modern-day metric counterparts and rework their screw ports to take them. We replace the original electrics with brand new, fully certified EN60598 components - this gives you peace of mind, knowing your vintage light is as safe to use as any modern light.

Product details

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, please just ask.
