Stunning run of elegant prismatic industrial lighting by 'PHILIPS.' Originally intended as airfield landing lights and salvaged from decommissioned stock at Eindhoven Airport, Holland. Polished aluminium enclosure with concave prismatic glass lens.
Holland’s lighting landscape has been illuminated by the Dutch powerhouse Philips since its creation in the the late 1800s. Philips and other lighting companies throughout Holland design and manufacture lights for all applications, and this variety is reflected in the styles of lights we salvage.
Where possible we retain the original finish of a light - it is part of its history and emphasises its heritage. However, sometimes leaving a surface as we find it just isn’t possible. Some lights made from ferrous metals, such as iron and steel, arrive so severely degraded we need to remove their outer layers to allow any further surface treatment to be applied. Grit blasting is one method we use. Grit is applied under high pressure to the surface of the light to ‘blast’ the layer of degradation away - leaving the surface clean for the next stage in its restoration.

Philips is now one of the largest electronics companies in the world employing over 100,000 people across more than 60 countries.

"Genius Full Circle initative"
Love the lights, love your ethos. Absolutely what more companies need to be doing. I have my Retro Czech Ceiling Lights (V2) in my dining room and the spray of light they give off is gorgeous and unusual.
