Equire about this product

Origin: Czechoslovakia (former)

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

Every one of our lights goes through a variety of refurbishment processes to bring it from the worn and often dilapidated state it arrives in, to being at a stage ready for your home. This may involve everything from stripping down and rewiring damaged and old components, to applying finishes and sealing the light to prevent further degradation to the surface. It’s a long and meticulous process, all carried out by our UK-based lighting experts.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of brass suspension chain, traditional old gold braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. (If you would prefer another colour cable or an E26 lamp holder for use in the USA, please just ask).

Love the lights, love your ethos. Absolutely what more companies need to be doing. I have my Retro Czech Ceiling Lights (V2) in my dining room and the spray of light they give off is gorgeous and unusual.
