Origin: Hungary

We salvage high volumes of industrial and decorative lighting from this landlocked former Eastern Bloc country. Hungarian industrial enamel shades are often available in blue or white, whereas the decorative glassware has more of a clean line and timeless design. In the mid to late 20th century, the Communist east produced a wide variety of lights for both industrial, commercial and residential applications often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.

Restoration

The lights have been carefully refurbished and reassembled by hand, the substantial steel enclosure has been brushed and lacquered, along with the polished aluminium bezel and prismatic glass lens that sit within the enclosure. Refined details on these fittings include the originally sprung anti-vibration rings, which dampened any movement from the passing trains.

Product details

Each light is supplied with a new bayonet (B22) lamp holder, 2mtrs of suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, please just ask.
