These vintage 1950s aluminium and brass wall lights were salvaged from St Barnabas church in Bethnal Green, East London. They were originally installed in 1957 and recently removed during a period of renovation.
The elegant conical polished aluminium shade is mounted to the original polished brass arm and new wall mounting plate. A ball and knuckle joint allows the shade to be angled to focus the direction of light to a wall or object. At skinflint all original electrical elements are removed and replaced with brand new, certified components (EN60598 if your electrician asks). Any pre-wired lights are then rewired, tested and certified in line with electrical safety standards BS EN 60598. That way you have a light you can rely on every day, for decades to come.
Each light is supplied tested and rewired with a new screw (E27) lamp holder and olive green braided cable.
