Original optometrists box, salvaged from an eye hospital in the South of England, UK. The main enclosure rotates a full 360 degrees, with four original perspex screens and chrome plated edge detailing. A brushed and lacquered steel base has a new integral period switch.
The restoration process our lighting goes through can take many months. To begin, we gently disassemble each light fitting, letting us spot any flaws and plan how best to bring it up to modern electrical standards. Then, our team of experts patiently restore each component by hand. Typically, this might mean: Soda-blasting – an environmentally friendly way to remove old paint; Polishing – to restore and revitalise the surface of the light; Lacquering – a sealing process that protects the light’s surface from further deterioration; Rewiring – so the light works perfectly, every time.
The light is supplied tested and rewired with two metres of twisted black braided cable and three new bayonet (B22) lamp holders and plug.
