US traffic lights (Type 13 Raw)Era: 1950s Origin: U.S.A
Salvaged American traffic lights by 'WM' converted into suspended pendants that work extremely well over tables and island plinths.
Lighting design in the U.S.A. benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time designing and producing similar products for the same market, often with only slight differences in their style. Due to the location we rarely have the opportunity to reclaim and restore light fixtures from the U.S.A., but some of our perennial favourites are the old signal lights that adorned the highways of the midwest. We reconfigure and restore these timeless classics into functional pendant lights, for both residential and commercial use.View all lights from U.S.A
A two part enclosure which has been refurbished and reassembled by hand, preserving the original painted finish which adds an interesting surface colour and patina to the lights. The enclosure also features the cast makers mark, the original internal reflector and a new etched diffusion glass. The lights are suspended through a minimal stainless steel suspension system with ceiling mounting permitting millimetric adjustment.
Each light is supplied with a new bayonet (B22) lamp holder, 2metres of elephant grey braided power cable, and a ceiling mounting system. (As with all our products, should you require a different colour cable just let us know).

Their product is invariably beautiful and wonderfully restored. To have lights that have seen so much and then get a second life is inspiring in many ways.
