We salvage high volumes of industrial and decorative lighting from this landlocked former Eastern Bloc country. Hungarian industrial enamel shades are often available in blue or white, whereas the decorative glassware has more of a clean line and timeless design. In the mid to late 20th century, the Communist east produced a wide variety of lights for both industrial, commercial and residential applications often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.
View all lights from HungaryThese shades were produced at Tokod, a small village north from Budapest, close to the Danube and the Hungarian-Slovakian border. The plant initially started production in 1892. It finally went bankrupt around 2000, although different short lived spin-offs continued, but never succeeded.

Love the lights, love your ethos. Absolutely what more companies need to be doing. I have my Retro Czech Ceiling Lights (V2) in my dining room and the spray of light they give off is gorgeous and unusual.
