British period pendant lightingEra: 1930s Origin: UK
Early Art Deco British pendant, a decorative opalline glass with original polished copper gallery.
Lighting design in the UK benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time, designing and producing similar products for the same market. Often with only slight differences in their style, they constantly upgraded and improved their original designs. The products we salvage come from the old industrial heartland of England. This area of the UK was once the boiler room of the British economy - from the potteries of Stoke, through the engineering works of Birmingham, to the wool, textile and cotton mills of Oldham and Manchester.View all lights from UK
Before a light can be restored, any damaged outdated components will require repair or replacing. As part of this work we replace original imperial screws with their modern-day metric counterparts and rework their screw ports to take them. We replace the original electrics with brand new, fully certified EN60598 components - this gives you peace of mind, knowing your vintage light is as safe to use as any modern light.
Supplied with new screw (E27) lamp holders, 2mtrs of brass suspension chain, traditional old gold braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. Can be converted to screw (E26) lamp holders (for use in USA) if required. Please state at point of order.

Their product is invariably beautiful and wonderfully restored. To have lights that have seen so much and then get a second life is inspiring in many ways.
