Vintage opaline lighting at Origin Coffee
Adding to their shops in London, Cornwall and Bristol, we’re excited to be lighting up the next chapter of the story for specialist coffee roaster and fellow B Corp Origin Coffee. Edinburgh is Origin’s first foray into the north of the UK, joining the Scottish capital’s vibrant coffee scene at 6-8 South College Street. Serving up award-winning brews alongside enthusiast courses and professional training right in the heart of the University Quarter, the space is bustling.
Edinburgh is the third Origin location to feature skinflint’s restored original vintage lights, and it’s a match made in heaven thanks to our B Corp commitment to put people and planet before profit. Here in Edinburgh, a collection of 1950s vintage Czech opaline pendants in varying sizes are used throughout the space, bringing authentic vintage character, depth and warmth to the table and seating areas, and above the counter.
The space occupies one of the founding sites for the emergence and growth in the Scottish capital, and, as chance would have it, Origin also inherited a number of vintage industrial fittings from the previous tenants. As champions of the circular economy, repair and reuse, we are of course pleased to see them remain and put to good use! You can explore similar authentic styles in our Industrial Lighting collection.
