Vintage Industrial lighting by Dugdills

Luminaire Reference: 13_1643

Early machinists work light by 'Dugdills'  Circa 1930. Vitreous enamelled shade and steel construction with cast makers mark to base. Articulation at head and arm junctures with rotation from interconnection with wall plate. Interesting surface patinas to the original worn finish have been waxed and sealed through our unique preservation technique. Slight characterful wear to the shade emphasises the age and industrial heritage of the light. Supplied tested and rewired with black traditional braided cable and new bayonet (B22) lamp holders with integral switch.

Suitable for desk or wall mounted applications.

DUGDILL & Co Ltd company Background.

The company was founded in the 1930s by John Dugdill a prolific British inventor who filed a succession of technical patents in both Britain and the US before 1939.
