Eastern Bloc fluorescent (V1)

Luminaire Reference: 14_1975

Refined industrial Eastern Bloc feature lights. Circa 1960. Original glass tube and substantial polished aluminium enclosures with original manufacturers plaques. They can be utilised as either wall or ceiling fittings.

The light is rewired, tested and supplied with a new linear T5 28W energy saving fluorescent and 2 meters of elephant grey braided cable. The florescent tube is located within an etched diffusion sleeve to prevent any glare and creates an even distribution of warm light (2700K) with an average bulb life of 20,000 hours.

Can alternatively be supplied with either a switched or dimmable (Dali, 1-10v, DMX or Leading/Trailing edge) LED lamp. Please contact the studio for more information.

Whats the difference in brightness between a fluorescent bulb, a LED bulb and a traditional 60w filament bulb?

Well in simple terms bulb brightness is measured in lumens. Lumens (denoted by lm) are a measure of the total amount of visible light (to the human eye) from a bulb or light source.

As a comparison this fluorescent bulb is 1820lm, a LED bulb of the same length is 2130lm and a traditional 60w filament bulb is 800lm.
