Vintage lighting by Maxlume

Luminaire Reference: 14_1960

British factory shades by the once renowned Birmingham based manufacturer 'Veritys Maxlume' Circa 1940. Vitreous enamelled two part spun steel reflectors complete with original polished aluminium galleries with cast manufacturers details and embossed logo to reflector 'Maxlume: Overlamp reflector'  Slight wear to the enamel adds character and emphasises the age of the products.

Supplied with new screw (E27) lamp holders, 2mtrs of industrial steel suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate.

The extract shown is from our own internal manufacturers archive and taken from the 'Maxlume modern lighting equipment catalogue' Dated 1952.

As detailed in an original manufacturers catalogue. 'Many ingenious ideas have been adopted to overcome the difficulties of cleaning reflectors. Amongst the most satisfactory was the ORIGINAL MAXLUME OVERLAMP REFLECTOR. This fitting was the first big step in design to tackle the cleaning problem and the fitting was so successful that it soon became the standard line in the industry.
