British industrial flameproof lights by Heyes

Luminaire Reference: 16_2710

Imposing 1950s flameproof surface mounted lights by British manufacturer 'Heyes'.

Salvaged from a decommissioned 1950s petrol chemical works in Northeast London, UK, they were once installed to illuminate the vast fuel silos on the industrial site.

The refined design of the two-part polished aluminium enclosure has a nice finned detailing to the lower half, along with cast manufacturer's branding on the upper half, in which the original flameproof glass is set.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder.
