No. 29 Power Station West restaurant vintage lighting

6 years ago Commercial

Part of the iconic Battersea Power Station redevelopment, No. 29 Power Station West designed by client Lou Davies at Box 9 Design has already scooped two interior design awards winning Best UK Bar and Best Pub at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. skinflint is proud to have its original vintage lighting featured within.

The restaurant is the latest addition to the independent group Darwin & Wallace. It joins its fellow stalwarts of interiors, food and drink at No. 11 Pimlico Road and No. 197 Chiswick Fire Station, offering a relaxed, all-day dining experience from morning coffee to nightcap and everything in between.

Overlooking the River Thames, the beautiful interior draws inspiration from local and global settings. Stripped back and utilitarian in reference to the area's iconic powerstation building and heritage of generating London’s power, there's a 1920s vibe with soft velvet period pieces.

skinflint’s black enamelled ceiling pendants, which were salvaged from a factory in the Eastern Bloc, are suspended in a row providing statement light, illumination and a focal point for the large marble dining tables below. Meanwhile, in the bathrooms, you’ll find skinflint’s retro Czech glass pendant ceiling lights.

The space perfectly aligns with Darwin & Wallace’s ethos for resisting the formulaic, each location taking inspiration from their local areas, and creating unique spaces that feel like home-from-home. We can’t wait to visit in person.
