A large run of prismatic wall lights, salvaged from old industrial sites across former Czechoslovakia. The lights can be mounted to angle either up or down a wall, with the glass well within an oxidised and sealed steel enclosure.
Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.
View all lights from Czechoslovakia (former)Part of the oxide range, the lights feature specially treated steel or iron enclosures, that have been purposely and individually oxidised in our workshops to create an interesting array of rich surface patinas. The enclosures are then sealed through a unique preservation technique to prevent further ageing.
Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder. (If you would prefer an E26 lamp holder for use in the USA, please just ask). The lights are suitable as both wall and ceiling fittings.
