Salvaged industrial desk light from Eastern Europe. Refurbished and reassembled by hand with a polished aluminium shade, chrome plated stem and a lacquered cast steel base. It has two ball and socket joints so you can fully articulate the lamp to adjust the positioning.
Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Any pre-wired lights are then rewired, tested and certified in line with electrical safety standards BS EN 60598. That way you have a light you can rely on every day, for decades to come.
The light is supplied tested and rewired with two metres of elephant grey braided cable, a new screw (E27) lamp holder, a base-mounted toggle switch and a plug.
