Vintage Luxo floor standing light

Era: 1930s

Original Luxo L1 lamp converted to a feature floor standing light. The L1 was originally manufactured in 1937 and was designed by Jac Jacobsen, the Norwegian designer and founder of Luxo.

Restoration

Engineers work light with typical features including articulated brushed and lacquered steel arms with external springs and an integral period toggle switch on the polished aluminium shade. Mounted upon a vintage medical stand, dated 1967, a three-legged lacquered steel lower section with a chrome plated adjustable upper stem.​​​​​​​
