Vintage floor lamp by KodakEra: 1950s Origin: UK
A stunning floor standing lamp salvaged from a film studio, originally manufactured by Kodak.
Lighting design in the UK benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time, designing and producing similar products for the same market. Often with only slight differences in their style, they constantly upgraded and improved their original designs. The products we salvage come from the old industrial heartland of England. This area of the UK was once the boiler room of the British economy - from the potteries of Stoke, through the engineering works of Birmingham, to the wool, textile and cotton mills of Oldham and Manchester.View all lights from UK
The polished aluminium shade can be angled by hand using the original thermoplastic handle. A telescopic chrome plated stem allows the height to be easily adjusted and locked in position with contrasting polished brass detailing. Mounted on a three legged steel base, which has been brushed and lacquered, and fitted with the original castors so the lamp can be easily moved around if desired.
The light is supplied tested and rewired with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 4 meters olive green braided cable, inline foot switch and a plug. Maximum height: 2700mm | Minimum height: 1260mm
