1970s moulded matt opal glass pendants salvaged from former Czecholslavakia. Retaining their original gallery and black powder-coated rod. With unusual and distinctive ribbed detailing to the lower half of the shade. These stylish lights are a perfect centerpiece above a kitchen table or living space, emitting an even glow when illuminated.
Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

The first and most important stage is fully dismantling each and every light - we do this even if we have hundreds of identical lights. We then undertake an in-depth review of its construction and following that, map its journey through restoration.
