German designs are famed for their clean lined and well engineered approach. The Bauhaus School played a major role in combining design with engineering during the late 1920s and early 1930s. A number of lights we salvage were influenced by Bauhaus School design. From the mid to late 20th century, Communist East Germany produced a wide variety of lights for both industrial, commercial and residential applications, often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.
View all lights from GermanyOver the years, we’ve restored thousands of lights that would otherwise have become scrap - examining, refurbishing and updating one part at a time. But we don’t only piece together the light’s components. We take the time to investigate its history, studying old catalogues for clues and assembling the whole story.
Supplied with new nickel plated screw (E27) lamp holders, 2mtrs of suspension chain, traditional silver braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. Can be converted to accept screw (E26) lamp holders (for use in USA) if required.

Great light. It looks very smart. I was initially worried that it might be slightly big for the room (we don't have high ceilings) but it looks great and I am really pleased with it.

Lighting is critical to any room and when it came to putting the finishing touches to our vintage kitchen, we came to skinflint - and we found exactly what we wanted.

Your service was impeccable & your beautiful quirky stock of the highest quality. I was lucky enough to visit your HQ in Cornwall whilst on holiday near there. What a wonderful creative sustainable environment you work in. Such a fabulous range of interesting industrial lights. I am delighted with my runway light & will tell everyone where it’s from!
