Salvaged from a private residence in Prague, former Czechoslovakia, this 1920s Art Deco chandelier once illuminated a grand entrance. Now sensitively restored, all original components remain preserved. Four tinted opaline glass globes cast a soft and diffused glow of illumination when lit. A chrome-plated cylindrical central baluster and ceiling rose make this a great feature piece for homes and commercial projects.
Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Each light is disassembled and we examine every component for damage and flaws, so we know which can be kept, and which need to be replaced. We then hand over to our experts – in-house and locally – to carefully restore each component by hand.
Each light is supplied wired and tested with 4no. new (E14) lamp holders. If you would prefer E12 lamp holders (USA), please just ask.
