These 1970s glass ceiling lights are a product of over 200 years of Bohemian Czech glassmaking. Salvaged from a municipal building on the outskirts of Prague, each intricately patterned moulded glass casts a bright glow when illuminated. Minimal in profile, the shade is mounted to the original white steel wall plate. Perfect for circulation areas and hallways.
Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

The first and most important stage is fully dismantling each and every light - we do this even if we have hundreds of identical lights. We then undertake an in-depth review of its construction and following that, map its journey through restoration.
Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder. If you would like an E26 lamp holder (USA), please just ask. Suitable as a wall or ceiling fitting.
