Lit by skinflint: The Flash
Our lights have been spotted in The Flash! By messing with the past to save his mother, Barry (the Flash), finds himself in an alternate present. Faced with another version of himself and losing his powers, he enlists the help of Batman to help fix the problems he’s created.
Calling on the original batcave design from 1989, Michael Keaton’s Batman makes a grand entrance lit by skinflint lights. Our XL factory lights provide the perfect industrial design for the set. Their imposing side profile and strong downlighting create a striking contrast against the cave exit, whilst their XL sizing echoes the vastness of the cave. In keeping with the cool tone colour grade, their brushed steel enclosures blend seamlessly into into the stone walls, and tech below.
Also hired were our golden Retro Czech bubble glass pendants; reminiscent of Barry’s superspeed bubble, the choice in lighting reflects the fragility of his bubble of time. One wrong move can cause the bubble to shatter like glass. The contrast of Batman’s industrial, sturdy lights and Barry’s fragile glass globes play on the characters’ sensibilities.
