We’re Europe’s leading vintage lighting retailer and we’re on a mission to salvage, save and restore vintage lights that would otherwise go to landfill. We’re now looking for a Workshop Assistant to take on a hands-on role, working closely within our workshop to prepare each salvaged light for restoration. You’ll play a key role in preparing our niche salvaged lights for further restoration.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll join our busy workshop team, working collaboratively to ensure each of our vintage lights is carefully dismantled, cleaned and prepared for its restoration journey.

  • You’ll get to know our ethos, values and niche restoration processes, ensuring each light is given a bespoke level of care and attention.

  • You’ll become a master of dismantling and cleaning each vintage light, making sure each one meets quality control standards.

  • You’ll undertake the intricate refurbishment of a wide range of components and assist in assembling lights too.

  • You’ll lend a helping hand to our wider workshop team, assisting with everything from the packing and dispatch of orders to labelling and measuring for shipping quotations.

  •  You’ll carry out product and component stock takes with a great eye for detail.

  • You’ll receive training to give you the confidence to handle electrical goods and components.

Who you are

  • You’ll be keen to join our workshop, getting stuck into a manual hands-on role.

  • You’ll enjoy process oriented tasks and approach them with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • You’ll be adaptable, with an ability to juggle and prioritise tasks.

  • You’ll be naturally organised, possessing a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to all tasks.

  • You’ll have excellent  communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions.

  • You’ll enjoy being part of a small team, working in a relaxed workshop environment near Falmouth, Cornwall.
